Naji was born in Queens, NY and he was put in his first foster home before the age of 2. Between then and 14 he was placed in 15+ homes before he tried to live with his mother, who beat and emotionally abused him. Since then he has been adopted by a family in Lynnwood. He not only excels on the football field but in the classroom as well. His story is truly inspiring because given the conditions of his quality of life, he took a small opportunity and has made the most of it. He is a leader in the classroom and in school. His coaches and players enjoy is company and has expressed how he has been encouraging to them. He is adopted and has had a troublesome past. Several newspaper articles have come out describing his story. He has helped the community by working youth camps, refereeing youth sports games, and volunteering in his church's nursery.
