Chase is the kind of young man that every parent dreams their son will grow-up to be. He is not very talented, but everything he has accomplished is because of his hard work and sacrifice. When he bought into our program he demanded that others do like wise. He will not tolerate anything but the best from himself or his teammates.
Outside of football he has started a youth group called "New Wave” and they meet every Wednesday night during the school year. He has kids that come from a 5 county area to attend.
He inspires me to be a better person. Chase's father has never claimed him as his son and this man doesn't know what he is missing out on. It hurts Chase, but it drives him also. He is a bigger man than his biological father will ever be. His mother has been hard on him and he has turned out great because of her. He is fine student and a leader on our team and our student-body.
He is more than deserving of this award. There is no one with more heart or character than him. I love the young man as if he was my son and I am so proud of what he has become. He wants to teach the gospel someday and he will be great at it.
